A School That Feels Like Home.
An Education That Feeds the Soul.

A place where learning happens under open skies, where stories spark curiosity, and where childhood is honored—not hurried.

What if School Felt Like Childhood?

Imagine a school where children thrive through short, focused lessons, meaningful outdoor exploration, and rich exposure to music and art—all while spending more time with family. Welcome to Changing Childhoods, where we're revolutionizing education through the Charlotte Mason hybrid model.

Why Parents & Children Love Our Model

Children thrive when they have time to explore, move, and truly engage with what they’re learning. That’s why our hybrid model is designed for both deep learning and joyful living.

🌿 Balance That Works

Two enriching school days per week with expert teachers, combined with supported home learning. Your child gets the benefits of both structured classroom time and individualized attention at home—without the stress of traditional five-day programs.

🌿 Financial Freedom

At just 25-50% of traditional private school tuition, our model makes exceptional education accessible to more families. Quality education shouldn't require financial strain.

🌿 Time for What Matters

Young students typically complete their home lessons in two hours or less, leaving plenty of time for interests, exercise, and family connection. No more exhausting 8-hour school days or endless homework.

A Hybrid School Model That Works

Imagine an approach that respects both structure and freedom.
Two days a week in a nurturing, structured classroom. The rest of the week learning at home, in rhythm with life
.

➪ Short, focused lessons that respect a child’s natural attention span.

➪Music, art, and movement woven into every day.

➪More time for family, creativity, and exploration.

➪Living books and nature study instead of dry textbooks and busywork.

And unlike traditional private schools, hybrid schooling is far more affordable and flexible—giving more families access to quality education.

  • Legally, in most states the answer is yes. But functionally, only partly. Hybrid schools are drop-off programs funded by tuition, but only meet part-time. Parents are integral partners in teaching.

  • Not at all! You just need a heart for education. The course gives you everything you need to get started.

  • Hybrid schools are designed to be more affordable than traditional private schools. As such, they appeal to a demographic that may not be able to afford private schooling. The course walks you through choosing a tuition and class and school size that will sustain itself and where founders and teachers will find rewarding part-time incomes as staff.

  • The course costs $800 with the 2025 Beta launch costing $500. Other costs likely to be incurred before tuition is collected will be a website, state filing, a sampling of books, and possibly a CPA or lawyer fee if desired ($300-$500). All costs are reimbursable as business expenses, once revenue is collecte

  • Yes! If you are just exploring, you can check out the Resources page for the Free ideas sheet. If you are interested in more but aren’t sure you want to commit, you can just start with the Strategic Planning section of the course. If you are already running a hybrid nonprofit, and need Board training resources, you can also just purchase the Board Training course (which is part of the entire course).

Have Questions? I’ve Got Answers!

To Parents and Educators with a Vision,

I never planned to start a hybrid school. But in 2017, like so many parents, I found myself searching for something that didn't exist—a way to give my children both the warmth of home learning and the joy of classroom community. With a baby in my arms and hope in my heart, I gathered a small group of families who shared this dream. We started small: just 20 children in a church building, paying little more than preschool tuition.

Today, that tiny seed has blossomed into a beautiful garden of learning, with over 200 children and a wonderful team of dedicated teachers. But what moves me most isn't the numbers—it's the sight of children's eyes lighting up as they discover a fascinating book, or watching parents and children learn and grow together.

I believe in my heart that you can create this same magic in your community. Children are only little once, and they deserve to experience the wonder of childhood while receiving an excellent education. If you're feeling that gentle tug in your heart to create something special for the families in your area, I'd love to show you how.

Right now, there's a community of families waiting for someone just like you to take that first brave step.
